  • The treatment agreed upon by you and your dentist, will be administered via several injections cross the facial region. Prior to this you may be given local anaesthetics which will causes numbness of parts around your face and mouth for several hours before it wears off completely. Please avoid eating until you regain feeling.
  • The treatment is designed to provide a very natural and safe enhancement. Please note that everyone’s different and additional treatment may be required to address your areas of concern which will then be reviewed and administered at your follow-up appointment, two weeks after your treatment. It is likely you will need to pay for this additional treatment.
  • Botulinum Toxin Type A derives from the bacteria Clostridium Botulinum. Brand names include Botox®, Dysport® and Xeomin®. Please note there is no bacteria present in any of these brands and take the form of purified proteins that can deliver predictable results.
  • Botulinum Toxin works by blocking neurotransmitters in the target muscles thereby reducing the strength of the muscle contraction. This is useful for aesthetic applications such as wrinkles caused by muscle contractions such as wrinkles. Wrinkles are caused when there are contractions of the underlying muscle that causes the crinkling of the overlying skin.
  • Treatment results will not be completely noticeable for 3-7 days and are temporary, lasting between 3-6 months.
  • Injections of Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers have very predictable and reliable outcomes that come with very few side-effects. The treatment itself is temporary by nature with affects completely wearing off with time.
  • Treatments should not be undertaken by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding or who are contemplating doing so.
  • Treatments should be avoided in people with certain underlying medical conditions for which their dentist will pre-screen.
  • A majority of the minor effects are actually concerned with the administration of injection and not the solution itself. These minor side effects are the same for any injection and at the site of injection may include; redness, soreness, swelling, bruising, bleeding, itching, rash and/or pain for several days afterward.
  • You must avoid sun exposure and smoking after such injections.
  • You must avoid undergoing skin resurfacing treatments such as chemical peels and laser after such injections.
